• Question: why cant we remember things that we did or saw when we still young kids of...lets say 1 to 2 years of age

      I don’t know, but I think that it is not because your information is gone. It is just that our neural pathways to retrieve the information have changed so much with aging that we cannot retrieve the information. There is also the idea that storing information in the brain, which happens in a distributed way, and makes up our long term memory, sets in later so it may not ever have been there for the long term until your brain matures sufficiently. It’s probably a mix of both.
