We asked George to tell us his thoughts on winning I’m a Scientist, Get me out of here this January. Here’s what he said:
I am thankful for the opportunity to respond to a range of questions from curious young scientists from around the country! It was a fantastic refresher course on common and not so common knowledge. Some of the questions required a great deal of thought even though they sounded simple. I am sorry I could not answer all of them within the given time span.
A lot of thanks to the organisers of this event and all the participants. Special thanks to the scientists who found time to answer and participate in this edition of live chats and questions. They are fantastic in their specialist fields and maybe you may not know, but they are the best in their respective fields! To have their time and attention was golden.
To the young scientists, the future is secure in your curiosity and interest in science. Thank you for the vote! I plan on using the prize money on a science engagement project and moving science forward with more young scientists in the loop.
