      We need light to see so some light is good. Too much light and especially the ultra violet (UV) rays are harmful to the eyes. They make the eye overexcited and produce too many chemicals which damage the eye and can lead to loss of vision. UV rays can burn the eye which can develop scars again leading to loss of vision.
