  Because we are an agricultural dependent economy and we rely on rainfall for our small scale farming. When the rains fail like they did in many parts of the country last season, we experience food shortage. We need to think of ways to harness rainfall and to move away from small scale farming. Also diversify our economy to a knowledge based economy! and promote large-scale farming.
